"I was born in Venezeula. I came to Canada in 2018 and settled in St. Catharines. My early life in Venezuela was in Caracas but I moved to Maracaibo when I got married. I got married at 21. He was a pilot and math professor. Together we have 4 children. I always wanted to study in University. I studied Sociology but I wasn't able to finish. I remember how hard it was to find books in the library to be able to study from. It wasn't organized. I loved basketball. I was selected to play on the Venezuelan National Basketball team. I later worked as a kindergarten teacher but then my life took a dramatic turn. It is too painful to talk about but we had to leave."
